Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by a Winco Safari Guide who will take you an amazing trip to Uganda’s popular national parks for an amazing experience of culture, primate and wildlife. The national parks include; Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Impenetrable, and Lake Mburo.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by a Winco Safari Guide in the Arrivals section who will drive you to your hotel for an overnight. In the event that you come off an early or midday flight, you will have the option of engaging in optional activities such as; behind the scenes experience at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, Visit the orphaned chimpanzees at Ngamba Island, Visit the Botanical Gardens famed for the 1940s Tarzan movie or enjoy a beautiful sunset cruise on Lake Victoria.
Today you will through Kampala and proceed to the famed Murchison Falls National Park for an amazing adventure. The drive takes you through a detour to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided walking safari to track the southern-white Rhinos that were recently introduced in Uganda, you will then proceed to the famous national park, the national park is home to the world’s most powerful waterfall, an estimated 76 mammal species, over 451 bird species and breath taking landscapes. You will arrive at lodge where you will relax.
After an early breakfast, you will embark on an early morning game drive as you enjoy a beautiful African sunrise. You will drive through picturesque landscapes consisting of open savannah grassland, Borassus palms; the grasslands provide a grazing platform for herbivores as well as a hunting ground for predators. You will search for leopards, hyenas, lions, buffalos, elephants, waterbucks, giraffes and abundant birdlife.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise up the Nile where you will enjoy watching the resident water wildlife like crocodiles, hippos, water birds such as Flamingos, and visiting buffalos and elephants, you will then proceed to the famous Murchison Falls for a spectacular view of the falls, you will hike to the top of the falls for photograph moments and later transfer to the lodge.
Today you will have a hearty breakfast and fasten your seat belt for a drive to Kibale National Park famed as the “Primate Capital”, this drive takes you through vast and beautiful tea plantations where you will have a brief stop to watch how farmers pick tea, given the opportunity you may participate in picking the tea. You will later proceed to the Primate Capital where chimpanzees run the show alongside an estimated 71 mammal species, 370 bird species, 350 tree species. You will arrive at your lodge where you will relax.
After a hearty breakfast, you will head out to Uganda Wildlife Authority Park offices for a brief, you will be lectured on the “Do’s and Dont’s” while tracking the Chimpanzees, you will then be led by an experienced Ranger in the forest in search of these fascinating and intelligent chimpanzees, you will observe them in their natural habitat, take photographs, you will also be able to observe several other mammals such as the L’Honest monkey, Red Colubus, and other monkey species, wildlife such as Buffalos, Elephants, Forest hog and abundant bird species.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a warm local lunch and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for your next highlight of Uganda; the park is home to an estimated 95 mammal species, 600 bird species, and amazing landscapes. You will arrive at the lodge and relax.
After an early breakfast, you will embark on an early morning game drive as you enjoy a beautiful African sunrise. You will drive through dazzling landscapes consisting of open savannah grassland and plains; the grasslands provide a grazing platform for herbivores as well as a hunting ground for predators. You will search for leopards, hyenas, lions, buffalos, elephants, waterbucks, Topis and abundant birdlife.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel where you will enjoy watching the resident water wildlife like crocodiles, hippos, water birds, and visiting buffalos, antelopes and elephants.
After a hearty breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the drive takes you through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National park which provides an opportunity to watch more wildlife in their natural habitat, and the sector also provides an opportunity to watch the tree-climbing lions resting on trees. You will then proceed to Bwindi in preparation for the ultimate Gorilla encounter. You will arrive at the lodge and relax.
After an early morning breakfast, you will head out to Uganda Wildlife Authority Park offices for a brief, you will be lectured on the “Do’s and Dont’s” while tracking the Gorillas, you will then be led by an experienced Ranger in the thick forest in search of these the famous but endangered Mountain Gorillas, the tracking lasts between 4 to more than 6 hours depending on location of gorillas. You will have opportunities to take amazing pictures, you will also be able to watch abundant wildlife, identify tree species, butterfly species and an estimated 120 mammal species.
In the afternoon, you will have the option of relaxing at the lodge, or have a guided community walk, or visit the Batwa community and have an insight into their lives.
After a hearty morning breakfast, you will hop into your vehicle for another drive to Lake Mburo National Park for your resting adventure. The small park spans about 370 square kilometres but turns out to be a compact jewel. The park offers an estimated 69 species of mammals, 330 bird species. You will enjoy a brief game drive as you proceed to the lodge, expect to watch wildlife such as the Impalas, Kobs, Antelopes, beautiful Zebras.
In the afternoon you will have a guided walk through the local community for a thrilling cattle experience, you will be taught how ghee is made locally, participate in watching over herds of cattle as well as the milking process.
After an early morning breakfast, you will be led by an experienced Ranger on foot for a guided Nature walk through sections of the National Park, you will observe some wildlife such as Zebras, Impalas, Kobs, at a close range and take amazing photographs, you will be taught interesting facts about some of the wildlife in the park as well challenges that the wildlife face. You will then proceed for a brief game drive as you exit the park for a drive back to Entebbe, you will stop at the Equator for photograph moments as well as a water experiment. Upon reaching the airport, your Guide will assist you unload luggage for your check-in. You will take your flight back home with wonderful memories of your safari.
